Welcome to

A little about Bundaberg QLD Australia ......... The Town situated between Brisbane and Rockhampton Wide Bay Burnett Region in South East Queensland. Bundaberg is mainly Sugar Cane and Small Crops also the Famous Bundaberg Rum. Bundaberg has the largest number of commercial fisherman of any port in Queensland. Bundaberg is also a popular first port call for many overseas yachts, with 3 marina's and many private Jetties. The Boats are well spread along the Burnett River. We are about 13klms from the coast, the population is about 42,000 people and growing fast , some beaches on the outskirts of bundaberg are usually deserted and go for miles and miles. Then you have the ones close by 13 klms away which we will see. The main attraction at one particular beach MON REPOS is the Loggerhead Turtles, they come up the beach to lay their eggs. Laying about 100 eggs. Then they go back to the sea and return again between September and January and do it all again.

Bundaberg can be quite easily missed (not intentionally, mind you). It is the eternal triangle which does it, meaning that the Bruce Highway (Highway one) bypasses the city by some kilometres.

Therefore some travellers get to experience only some towns of this region - such as Apple Tree Creek, the southernmost point of that triangle, with Gin Gin at the north and Bundaberg the third point in the East. So, if driving the highway from the south, the turn-off into sugar cane country Rum City and the Great Barrier Reef, is just a few hundred metres north of Apple Tree Creek, which in turn is five kilometres north of Childers.

A family-friendly picnic ground with great facilities is on the left as you enter Apple Tree Creek from the south. Almost diagonally opposite is the Flying High Flora and Fauna Bird Habitat, on the corner of the Bruce Highway and Old Creek Road.

It's the creation of John Woodall, an ex-farmer with a penchant for birds, who has created the largest walk-through free flight aviary in the country. However, if the conversation, car radio or CDs are that good, there is another exit on the southern outskirts of Gin Gin. Other highlights: Sticky Beaks Cafe for homemade jams and preserves made from local produce. Check out the purpose-built Swiss-designed wood-fired pizza oven.

We raise and train ours German Shepherds to the breed standards of the The Kennel Club UK and SV (the breed registry in Germany).

Our philosophy is that the German Shepherd Dog needs to maintain and improve its working abilities while also having good conformation and temperament. Therefore, our dogs are Schutzhund trained. We do not breed for extremes, rather we breed for a well rounded German Shepherd that meets the breed standard.

We are by choice a small select kennel, who pay a lot of attention to detail. We breed occasionally for quality and not quantity, and are very mindful as to where our puppies go.

The first female we purchased was a daughter of Odin Von Tannenmeise, when we returned from Australia in 1990. Photos of her and our early dogs can be seen here.

Bundaberg is proud to bring to you the very best of Germany. These litters are bred for the discriminating buyers who demand nothing but the highest quality and are not willing to accept anything but the German SV standard and The Kennel Club UK. Read about the standard on this site and insist on it.

Reservations are strongly recommended!!!!
